Coupar Angus Regeneration Trust & Coupar Angus Y.W.C.A. Press
release for immediate use: 26th January 2006 Coupar
Angus Horse Fair With the talking over and the planning well under
way, the Coupar Angus Regeneration Trust, the YWCA and the Community Council are
now seeking all hands aboard to make the community event Horse Fair on the 18th
March 2006 a huge success. With
the help of a grant from Communities Scotland this will be a huge step forward
towards finding out how you the community of Coupar Angus want the town to go
forward into the 21st century. The day will involve a street market; a horse
themed procession complete with pipe band, Clydesdale horses, old transport,
children from the school and anyone who wants to join in; demonstrations of
Bollywood, Line and Street dancing from local groups; competitions for the best
Gingerbread Horse and best community group photographs of the day, and with lots
more things to see, do and enjoy. It
will also provide the opportunity to launch the forthcoming community survey
which will be delivered throughout the town and allow all residents the unique
opportunity to have their say with regards to the future of the town. Volunteers are needed to help with all these
events, so if you have a few minutes, hours or a full day please get in touch
and let us know what you are interested in supporting.
As this is a community event, planned and delivered by members of the
community age, nationality, gender or fitness is not important, we can find a
job for everyone! What is important
is that the community work together to make a difference to the town. This day can not happen without your help and
support, so let’s all pull together and make this into a starting block for
future events and the community of Coupar Angus working together. Contact
