PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Series of Sirolli management panel recruitment meetings planned for this week

‘The future of every community lies in capturing the energy, imagination, intelligence and passion of its people’ – Ernesto Sirollii.

Over the past 9 months a group representing community groups, the local business community, political representatives and local workers have been involved in a project to bring a method of business creation to the communities of Eastern Perthshire.  This group successfully bid into a challenge project supported by Scottish Enterprise, Communities Scotland and the International Sirolli Institute to bring a new and exciting business facilitation project to the communities of Eastern Perthshire and the Glens.

Ernesto Sirolli, the founder of the institute has worked in communities across the world generating Economic Improvement by involving local people and helping them to create the small businesses that help communities to grow and build on the strengths which exist in every community.

The Project, championed by Strathmore and the Glens Rural Partnership has received a great deal of support from local individuals, businesses and other groups as well as from Perth and Kinross Council.  And now, the Sirolli Institute is coming to visit to start the process of setting up the Enterprise Facilitation Project here in Eastern Perthshire and in so doing, to involve local people in its success, a success which the steering group believes can turn around the economic fortunes of the area.

Nancy Peyron will talk about this Enterprise Facilitation project and the duties of a panel member.  She will invite local citizens to join the East  Perthshire project at a series of events in the coming week which will be hosted by local community members.  The events will take place in:
