RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Series
of Sirolli management panel recruitment meetings planned for this week ‘The
future of every community lies in capturing the energy, imagination,
intelligence and passion of its people’ – Ernesto Sirollii. Over the
past 9 months a group representing community groups, the local business
community, political representatives and local workers have been involved in a
project to bring a method of business creation to the communities of Eastern
Perthshire. This group successfully
bid into a challenge project supported by Scottish Enterprise, Communities
Scotland and the International Sirolli Institute to bring a new and exciting
business facilitation project to the communities of Eastern Perthshire and the
Glens. Ernesto
Sirolli, the founder of the institute has worked in communities across the world
generating Economic Improvement by involving local people and helping them to
create the small businesses that help communities to grow and build on the
strengths which exist in every community. The Project,
championed by Strathmore and the Glens Rural Partnership has received a great
deal of support from local individuals, businesses and other groups as well as
from Perth and Kinross Council. And
now, the Sirolli Institute is coming to visit to start the process of setting up
the Enterprise Facilitation Project here in Eastern Perthshire and in so doing,
to involve local people in its success, a success which the steering group
believes can turn around the economic fortunes of the area. Nancy Peyron will talk about this Enterprise Facilitation project and the duties of a panel member. She will invite local citizens to join the East Perthshire project at a series of events in the coming week which will be hosted by local community members. The events will take place in:
