PRESS RELEASE 18th NOVEMBER 2002

'TASTE OF STRATHMORE'

RECIPES REQUIRED

Preparations for next year’s Food Festival (28 April – 4 May 2003) are now underway and Strathmore & the Glens are working in partnership with local organisations to make it a week to celebrate a ‘Taste of Strathmore’.

Sue Cole, Executive Director,  would like to thank those who have already submitted recipes for inclusion in  the Cookery Book they are producing  to promote local produce.  As Strathmore & the Glens Rural Partnership is a voluntary group, any profits from the book will enable them to take forward their work in the area.

If your group or organisation would like to participate, please forward your recipes to Strathmore & the Glens Rural Partnership, PO Box 6621, Blairgowrie PH12 8YF, alternative you may e-mail: sue@strathmoreglens.sol.co.uk

The directory of Local Clubs and Organisation is now available on-line at www.strathmoreglens.org

Strathmore & the Glens are part of a rural framework at present unique in Scotland.  In order that we can represent you effectively we need to know your views.  We are here to facilitate self-help so let us help you get your ideas on paper or find funds, as our achievements are your achievements.

Details of new funding available for local community groups can be accessed via the partnership’s website www.strathmoreglens.org.  Public internet facilities are available from Blairgowrie library and Kirkmichael Village Shop.
